Brown Butter Banana Bread
2 Cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
¼ tsp. salt
Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook until caramel colored. Watch it carefully 'cause it can quickly go from a nice caramel color to burned! Pour browned butter into a mixing bowl. Add brown sugar, mix well. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla, mashed bananas, and sour cream. Add flour mixture, stirring just until combined.
Pour into prepared bread pan. Bake in preheated oven for 50-55 minutes. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack.
* I grease only the bottom of my pan to avoid a hard lip from baking on the edge of the bread. I never have any problem getting the sides of the bread out, just gently run a butter knife around the edge.
*Don't over mix when adding the flour mixture to the banana mixture, it will make a very dense and tough bread.
